Passion to Project (P2P) is a call to bring the passions of learners into learning, and turn projects into personal growth.
With younger generations increasingly struggling with anxiety and burnout in their day to day, it's imperative that we reassess learning experiences, and offer alternatives that focus as much on personal development and growth as on mental health and wellbeing.
P2P acknowledges that learning isn't a one-size-fits-all purely cognitive endeavor and celebrates the diversity of learners as well as their intrinsic motivations, unique interests, and distinctive talent.
It’s largely inspired by the work of Seymour Papert, and his suggestion that the spirit of creativity, exploration, and learning should be encouraged throughout life. Papert advocated for empowering learners to approach challenges that they’re passionate about with a playful and inventive attitude, fostering a sense of agency and a deeper engagement with the world around them.
P2P fosters play, reinforces purpose, nurtures collectivity, celebrates individuality, and cultivates well-being. By calling for this paradigm shift, we aim to encourage younger generations to pursue their dreams, lead lives of collaboration, commitment, and wellbeing, and make a meaningful impact in the world.
